Shannon Anwar was born in Texas but grew up in southwestern Minnesota. Shannon moved to Las Vegas in 1989. She and her husband, Badar have four children. Shannon retired from her nursing career to be a stay-at-home mom. She joined New Song Church in 2003. Shannon leads the Prayer Ministry and was commissioned as a Stephen Minister in 2019. In 2021, she graduated from Clinical Pastoral Education and became an Associate Board Certified Professional Clinical Chaplain. Shannon enjoys volunteering as a hospital chaplain one day per week. In October of 2022, she became the Congregational Care Coordinator at New Song.
